President Gordon B. Hinckley

President Gordon B. Hinckley died tonight. We all knew this day would come, but oh how we did not look forward to his passing. I am so sad, yet I am happy. I know he is having a wonderful reunion with Sister Hinckley, and with his parents and other loved ones. He even talked of one day meeting Joseph Smith, Brigham Young and other prophets. That day has come for him. WOW! What a great man. What a man of God. What an example to me. What an example to the world. Oh how he lived his life, and oh how he magnified his calling. How fitting the scripture ‘Well done, thou good and faithful servant. … Enter into the joy of thy Lord.’ ” My heart is so full.

Making a living to live a life!
This is my 7th year working for the Clark County District Attorney.
I work in the Family Support Division.
Currently I am an auditor.
I audit child support cases prior to the cases going to court.
The work is detailed and tedious.
However, at the end of the day,
I feel I have provided a much needed service.
I have always admired all the work nurses do to help doctors.
My job is kind of like that...
I help the deputy district attorneys get ready to go to court.
The work load is HUGE!

The Christmas Lights are Down!
I love the Christmas Season.
Everyone seems so much nicer at Christmastime.
I wish everyday could be like Christmas.
Oh wait, Elvis sings about that wish. Oh Elvis!
It was great having the whole family together this Christmas.
Because there are so many of us now,
it probably won't always be possible for us to all be together for the holiday.
Currently we are living in FIVE different states.
But, we all got to be together this Christmas.
IT WAS GREAT!
This a photo of the group right after attending Church.
Loren, Sonya and little Noah had not yet arrived from Texas.
Sam is not in photo, 'cuz he was still AT Church.
Here's a photo of all of us, after Loren, Sonya and Noah arrived.
I am so thankful that I know that families can be together forever.

THE WHOLE GANG!

Keep a Journal

Here's what our current Prophet has said about journaling: "To you women of today, who are old or young, may I suggest to you that you write, that you keep journals, that you express your thoughts on paper. Writing is a great discipline. It is a tremendous education effort. It will assist you in various ways, and you will bless the lives of many now and in the years to come, as you put on paper some of your experiences and some of musings."
President Gordon B. Hinckley
Here's a great new website!
President Henry B Eyring, at our last General Conference, said: "...(I) urge you to find ways to recognize and remember God’s kindness"
You can read President Eyring's talk here: O Remember, Remember

I need to do this!

Why I'm now a blogger!

Not too long ago, I was listening to Elder M. Russell Ballard's address to the graduating class at BYU Hawaii. He talked a lot about the New Media. He said: "...I ask you to join the conversation by participating on the Internet...share the gospel and explain in simple, clear terms the message of the Restoration." "...you can start a blog in minutes and begin sharing what you know to be true." Well, OK then. Blog world here I come!

Blog Shmog!

New Year's Resolution
Today I decided to join the World Wide Web of bloggers.
The pioneers were too busy,
trying to stay alive,
to write in their journals.
I feel the same way, but I'm going to give this a try.
I do love the technology of our world.
Cyberspace rocks.
