The day after Thanksgiving...

C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S. This was the view from Loren's window on the day after Thanksgiving. Snow fell softly as we slept. Pointing out the window, I asked Adam: "Well, what do you think?"
His response:
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas."

Well, OK then, here we go.

I just love the story of the Nativity. I can't sing, but my children have great singing voices. I wonder if they were among the singing angles on that very special night 2000+ years ago?

THANKFUL

I just cannot move on without mentioning my
GRATITUDE...
We gathered together for Thanksgiving festivities this year in California, with Loren & Sonya hosting. Sarah documented the fun times, Sonya documented the fun times and Elizabeth documented the fun times. We did have a great time together.
The only thing missing was:
Tad & Tracy and Torie, Tara & Tanner.
This year they were out playing in the dirt.

FAMILY HISTORY - I am doing it...

I am currently serving as the Stake Family History Center Director. That's a pretty long title. I help patrons learn how to use the Church Family History Site on the Internet. It is interesting and rewarding and enjoyable. I have had some nice experiences. Just last night Jennifer, a young woman from the Singles Ward, came in and requested help. She said she had been thinking about learning how to do Family History for quite a while. She said she would think about it almost every other day. It was on her mind A LOT. About three weeks ago, Jennifer's grandmother passed away. She was not a member of the Church. Thinking that Jennifer had finally come to the Family History Center now, to do her grandmother's Temple work, I told her that there was a one year wait. Well, Jennifer knew that, but what had finally motivated her to come in, was a phone call from her mother. Jennifer's mother had a "dream". A "dream" that didn't really seem like a dream, but she was asleep. In the "dream", her aunt, who has been deceased several years, came to her (this was the sister of the Jennifer's grandmother, and the sister of the Jennifer's mother's mom) and said: "Please do my Temple work". That was it!

I really enjoy Family History. It's something that is happening on both sides of the veil.

Here's the site: New Family Search
Tracy has the very coolest Family Tree I've ever seen. When, when, when are we going to work on that project???
