I've been thinking, time is speeding by...

Our Owen Ryan Marshall will soon be turning two-years-old! Time goes by so fast, and we all get so busy. I just love this picture of Kari, with her new little Owen. It is so important for all of us, who live in this very fast paced world, to remember to take some time to ponder. I remember, President Hinckley talked about the importance of meditation. He once said: "...ponder the things of life as occasionally you sit by yourself and simply think and offer a word of prayer to the God who is the giver of all wonderful things." Ensign February 1999

This boy is NINE-YEARS-OLD now!
Coulson Michael Harris DOB 03/25/1999

Here is Coulson just prior to attending

General Conference for the first time.
On the way into the Conference Center,
some of Tyler's co-workers,
from the audio-visual department, were working.
Cameraman, Quin was riding this monster.
He jumped off and let Coulson jump on!
It was great.
Quin's much younger co-workers said:
"We're kinda under the gun here Quin."
Meaning - "Hey we gotta go!"
It was like Quin didn't hear a word they said.
(Maybe he didn't hear them.)
Fun Memory!
PS - On April 5th I will be going to General Conference with Torie.
It will be her first time to attend General Conference.

Easter Morning

Several years ago, Loren and Samuel gave me a beautifully framed print of this painting by Greg Olson.

I just love the feeling I get when I look at this painting. I especially love it on Easter morning!

I have been to the garden tomb. Words cannot discribe the feelings I had as I sat in the garden, as I stood by the tomb, and as I entered the tomb. There are many tourist sites in Israel that claim certain events actually took place on certain specific spots. However, when President Harold B. Lee visited the tomb in 1972 he said:
"This was the tomb where they laid Jesus."

As she wept outside His tomb, Mary Magdalene was the first person to whom the resurrected Christ appeared. Radiant in the early morning light, His hands and feet scarred from the nails, He stoops to comfort His friend: "On that first Easter morning, the Risen Lord, Himself, reassured a sad and questioning Mary Magdalene that He is real and that, yes, He lives!"

Who says ...
clothes don't make the man?
My dad had some favorite clichés.
One of his favorites was: "Clothes don't make the man."
Well, I think the cliché is actually: "Clothes make the man."
Case in point ~ check out little Noah's shirt.
I AM SO EXCITED!
Congratulations Sonya, Loren and Noah!
Someone in heaven is soon to get her (or his) turn on earth.

Got Cookies? We received, and we are enjoying, our Girl Scout cookies.
Thin Mints are so good, right out of the freezer,
but my favorites are the yummy Caramel de Lites,
or Samoas as they are now called.
I can hardly believe Tara is a Girl Scout.
It seems like it was just yesterday when she was born.
Look at this photo of Tara and little Jamison June.
Look how sweetly Tara looks at her new cousin.
She sure does love the babies, and they love her.
What's not to love?!
Blog about a dog...

Look at the new addition, CoConut.
This photo says it all!
Just look at these happy children.
Annie, your dad would be so pleased.
You go girl.

Priceless

This past weekend, Sam went snowboarding. He traveled to Tad’s house in California. On the last run of the day, he jumped high and fell hard, and landed right on his back. The snow was really not snow at all by now. The snow, had turned to ice. He laid there with the air knocked out of his lungs, and he was hurting! He’s home now, and he is pretty banged up. His back is all scraped up, and he is walking lopsided because his back hurts like crazy. To add insult to injury, Sam got pulled over on the way home, because he was speeding, and of course he got a citation. To top it off, he couldn’t work this week. How can you run to valet cars, when you can hardly walk? I find it interesting that when your child is hurting, you the parent, also hurt! I am hurting for Samuel.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So as MasterCard would say: “Cost of fuel to get to the snow and back - $100, lift ticket - $30, traffic citation - $110, online driving school to keep the points off the driving record - $95, lost time at work - $600, photo of the jump and “landing” neither Tyson or Tad got on film - - - PRICELESS.
Missing Megan
It's Spring Break!
It sure would be great to have some fun with little Megan. But, she's 1500 miles away. However, it sure is nice to live in this modern world, where we can communicated so instantly wherever and whenever.
I was looking at some photos from days gone by, and I notice our little girl loves the boys! And the boys love her!
Hold on to your hat, or in this case your sunglasses. Wuss no more!
Hundreds of thousands enjoyed the events of the Las Vegas Nascar this weekend. I, on the other hand, watched a very different kind of car “race”. A carnival had been set up in a local parking lot. Little Bradley, who is usually such a wuss, saw the rides, and I asked him: “Bradley, would you like to ride in those cars?” To my surprise he said he would like to ride. So we stopped and he rode the cars. He loved it! Then he asked to ride the airplanes. He loved that ride. Next he was ready for a ride on the Ferris Wheel. I thought for sure he would NOT like it. I was wrong. Not only did he love it, he was ready to go on another type of Ferris Wheel where the chairs were also spinning around. I thought no way!!! But, Sarah said she’d go on the ride with him. Bradley loved it!!! When the ride was over, Sarah said she was ready to throw up! I told her that she couldn’t throw up, because just hours earlier we had enjoyed some very delicious Chinese food. Looks like Bradley may be an adrenalin junkie in the making. Who knew?
