UNITY

Unity

Last Sunday in Relief Society, the lesson was on unity. The teacher asked if any could share an example, they had seen, where unity had been demonstrated. A sister, who had attended Jack's funeral, commented that she had seen what appeared to her to be unity in action, at the funeral service. She said that she remembered thinking: "I am seeing a family totally pulling together and unified."

I didn't realize our family unity was so obvious. Today as the fog of the situation is beginning to slightly lift, I look back and count a united family as a huge blessing. Love and understanding for one another was demonstrated. There was wide sharing of emotions, feelings, and concerns. An outpouring of love and unity, from family members, never to be forgotten.

Life is NOT Fair

"Life is NOT Fair" James E. Faust
It sure does hurt to watch your baby girl bury her baby.
I do not believe the grief will ever end. I believe I will miss little Jack all of my remaining days. One day, I will learn to set aside the raw emotion, so I can go on with life. But I know the grief can and will flood back with all its force at moments when it is least expected. I will forever call those moments Jack attacks.
I am having a Jack attack right now!
