WALK...

I went walking...

DOB ~ 26 June 2006

This morning, I walked to the Post Office to mail a little birthday gift to Miss Megan. On my way back to work, I passed a young man, going the opposite direction. He was probably about 30 years old. We made eye contact, and I smiled and said hello. He stopped in his tracks. He said that as he had been walking, he had passed by at least 30 people in the past five minutes, and I was the first to even smile at him. Then he said: "I'm from Ohio!" I said: "Well, welcome to Las Vegas." He said: "Thanks!" And, he walked away with the biggest smile on his face. I'm a big believe in the words to this poem:

It Shows in Your Face

You don’t have to tell how you live each day;

You don’t have to tell if you work or play;

A tried and true barometer stands in its place—

You don’t have to tell, it will show in your face. …

If you live close to God and His infinite grace—

You won’t have to tell, it will show in your face.

Last year at Women's Conference, the Young Women General President, Elaine Dalton asked the women of the Church to do three things, and one of them was SMILE. No kidding!
