* Memorial Day ~ 2009
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

This year's Memorial Day visit was to the grave site of our little fighter baby Jack.

He was, after all, a real fighter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Here's a little World War II family history. My dad was a Combat Medic in WWII. His job was to drive the ambulance to pick up injured and wounded soldiers. One day he headed out to pick up a wounded comrade. His heart sank as he recognized the soldier was his very own brother, Howard. Howard had been shot in the shoulder. He was treated and recovered from his injury. Howard was awarded the Purple Heart. War is hell. I am thankful for the freedom that I enjoy, and I am grateful to those who have fought and continue to fight to protect our liberty.
