Summertime...and the living is "easy"

June 21st - September 21st
Better known as SUMMER!

21 June 2009
We spent Father's Day in California.
Here's a picture of my wonderful father.
We went California, to attend Skyler Kelley's baptism, on June 20th.
We brought these two beauties home with us.
Among other things we visited Hoover Dam.
Torie and Tara, Sarah, her children, and I met the Harris' in Utah. On the 27th of June, we went to Manti to see the Manti Pageant. We enjoyed the day together, and loved the yummy Manti Ward dinner. Before the pagenant, I played and shopped with the children, while the adults attended a Temple Session in the beautiful
pioneer-built Manti Temple.
While Tyler's away . . .

...the kids will play . . . in VEGAS! The Harris' were able to visit a few times this summer with their mom while their dad was in Mexico and Europe.
We did a lot of swimming.
We enjoyed a beach trip on July 2nd. Tracy, Sonya, Sarah and Torie have all posted about the beach trip. It was a blast. Here's Tyson showing us his skills.
On the 4th of July, I enjoyed my first ride on Tad's Rhino. Happy birthday America!
We went to a fun dance show at the Fremont Street Experience on July 17th.
Here's Katherine enjoying the music.
On July 29th, my girl made it home! Elizabeth, Adam and Megan moved from Iowa to Las Vegas!
It's good to have them close again. It was hard to be so far apart.
On July 31st, I headed to Utah with a large group of the family including my sister Debbie. We had a good weekend shopping and hanging out with Kyle and Heather. We met up with Valerie on Sunday when Clayton and Kristie's baby boy Zackary was blessed. It was good to spend time with my sisters.
We attended the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. It is a beautiful temple.
Here's the whole crew from Zackary's blessing.
Next up, we said goodbye to Sam's friend Jessica who will be serving a mission in Salt Lake City, Temple Square.Jessica will be a great missionary.
The next few weeks meant a lot of visitors. It is so nice to have everyone close together again. Goodbye Texas and Iowa.
On August 15th Loren graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic. Congrats to my boy!
Loren is now officially Dr. Marshall. Loren and Tad practice at Marshall Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Highland, CA.
On August 15th – Elizabeth, Sarah and I were able to go see the Donny and Marie show. It was my second time. I loved the show. It's fun to have some fun!
On August 21st, we headed to California again for Loren's graduation party.
Loren and Sonya threw a great party.
Some of us went on a nature hike. Thanks for the idea Tyson! We had such a good time.

I've already posted about the first day of school. Some started for the first time. Some are seasoned pros. It's so wonderful to see so many of my children and grandchildren value their education.
~
On Labor Day weekend, we enjoyed a lake trip. Tad and Loren brought their boat and showed us a great time! The weekend couldn't have been better!

I even went tubing with Tracy and Tanner!

Here we all are back home safe and sound.
When we got home from the lake we enjoyed the first BYU game of the season. I usually watch these games alone or tune in on the radio so it was an awesome treat to watch the game with some of BYU's biggest fans!

It has been a great summer. I've traveled to all of my children's homes. I've also spend time with 15 of my 16 grandchildren. I'll get to spend time with Jack later!
We now start a new season. Here comes Fall, and here's to many more memories!
