A beautiful baby girl will join our family in October. Loren and Sonya found out today,that a baby girl is on her way. The ultrasound revealed a healthy baby girl is in the makings.

This is GREAT NEWS!

Elder M. Russell Ballard

Interview

Last month, when the Pope visited the United States, Elder M. Russell Ballard and approximately 300 other religious leaders, were invited to meet with him. Prior to the meeting, Elder Ballard was interviewed by Mike Schneiter of Bloomberg Television. A wide range of issues affecting the Church were covered in their conversation, including building relationships with other churches, public perceptions about the Church, and humanitarian service. I thought the interview was excellent. At one point, Mr. Schneiter asked a question regarding the reason Temple ordinances are preformed for those who have died. The conversation turned to the resurrection. Elder Ballard explained that everyone would be resurrected. I watched Mr. Schneiter's shocked facial expression. This was news to him! Elder Ballard went on to say: "...when you die, Mike, you’re so real, that you’re not even going to know you’re dead, ‘til you go to try to do something that you are used to doing in mortality, and you’re going to find then, you're going to have it dawn on you, what a great gift the resurrection is." Sometimes I forget just how blessed we are, as members of the Church. We have so much knowledge, and so many answers to such important questions!

I am so grateful.

These two cuties spent the night.

We stayed up way too late, and got up way too early.
After breakfast, we played outside in the water.

The weather was great. After lunch, we did some grocery shopping. The little people took a little rest, while Sarah and I headed north to attend Matt Golightly's wedding. From there we drove way across town to a retirement party for a co-worker and wonderful friend.

We came home, changed into yet another outfit and headed to Ham Hall. Sarah preformed with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. The production was Honegger's King David. They played to a full house. The performance was great. It was so relaxing and my seat was perfect. Here's a picture of Bradley at the dress rehearsal the night before. The performance did bring back sad feelings I have when I think of David who killed the Giant Goliath.

Fill 'er up!

Every year, for the past twenty years, I have attended BYU Womens Conference with my sisters. In the beginning, the conference was sponsored by BYU. Today the conference is sponsored by the Relief Society and BYU. It's a great conference. The classes and lectures are uplifting and informative. For me, it is a time of renewal. It's a time for me to refill my cup, so to speak, so that I am able to carry on and on and on. The highlight this year, was having President Monson, as the closing speaker. What a privilege to be in the presence of a Prophet of God. Think about it - WOW! Transcripts for many of the lectures can be read online at the website.

4 May 1972 - It was the day I became a mother

It seemed like I waited FOREVER to become a mother, and then on 05/04/1972 Tad Bradley Marshall made it happen. I will never forget the overwhelming euphoria I felt moments after he was born. I had never been happier. Of course my life has never been the same since that special day.

*Tad was such a beautiful baby*

This boy always believed life was to be enjoyed. He has always loved to make other people happy. To this day, he truly believes it is more blessed to give than to receive. Tad and Tyson went to Disney World when they were teenagers. Tad came home with zero cash in his pockets, because he had purchased souvenir gifts for the entire family. He started gift giving at a very young age, and he hasn't stopped.
Tad has always loved to have fun! Having some more fun.

Happy Birthday two-year-old.

What a sweet little guy.

Owen is one of the most tenderhearted people I know.

He just melts my heart. Today is his birthday.

This is a picture taken in Las Vegas,

while Owen and Mya were home in San Diego playing Xbox.

Well, Mya apprears to be playing.

We are actually talking to each other via Xbox cameras.

What incredible technically!

What a great time in history to be born.

Owen has definately been held in reserve,

to be born at such a time as this!
